Did You Know...?
The Mexican commander of San Antonio at the time of the battle was Geneal Martín Perfecto Cós, the alleged brother-in-law of Santa Anna. Cós didn't exactly further his military career in the Texas Revolution. He fled the Battle of Concepcion, surrendered San Antonio to the Texians during the Siege of Bexar and was taken prisoner at San Jacinto. Needless to say, he fell out of favor and never managed to do anything of import for the remainder of his assignment as a general.
