There is a town in Texas called Valentine. It is located in West Texas in Jeff Davis County and had a population of 187 in 2000. It is named Valentine because on February 14, 1882, the Southern Pacific Railroad reached the site while they were building East. Valentine, Texas reached a peak population of 629 people in the 1930s.
